White 1 was restored to static condition at the Texas Air Museum in Rio Hondo, Texas under the direction of John Houston, Director of the Museum. It was during this time that Houston came in contact with Heinz Orlowski and established a friendship that lead to Heinz traveling to Texas to be reunited with his former aircraft. This reunion is wonderfully captured on a Discovery Channel "Wings" documentary.

The Texas Air Museum has also restored three other Focke Wulf 190s which include two A3 models and one A8. The Museum is home to a variety of other aircraft and artifacts including the superstructure from the USS Iwo Jima.
